Defender Door Striker plate

Hi Folks,
I have a problem with my 1995 defender 2 door, drivers door striker plate.
The striker plate screws onto a panel just inside the door frame, this panel has cracked/split and I now have issues with the door striker plate being loose.  I dont know the listing for this panel or if it can be replaced.  Can anyone help with this please.

mine is the same i took off the striker and cut a plate to fit over the panel and rivetted it in place then reattached the striker plate less a shim the thickness of the plate

I have done similar with a piece of chequer plate but still having issues with door not closing onto latch,.. I would like to replace the panel but think it may be an integral part of body..
