Things to look out for when buying a 300tdi

Looking for a family car/ potential tow truck when i get my v8 90 off roader finished.

Found a 300tdi im going to view , im familiar with 19j and 3.5v8s but have zero experiance of the 200/300tdi other than that the defender with that engine was faster thn my old escort :)

Is there anything specific to the 300tdi i should look out for

Got my inspection tool kit ready ( hammer and screw driver;))

If its a Discovery, RUST  ;).   Inner wings, sunroofs (if it has any), sills,did I mention rut :o

Tis a disco , im familiar with where discos rust - the g plate in my rear garden is a shining example of where they rust :)
