Hi ,I need some tech advice,my 90 has a bad vibration through the steering and when I look out the window the wheels are wobbling as if they are going to fall off.It almost always happens when I am driving in a straight line, around about 30-40 mph doesn't matter what gear I am in.I have renewed all the track rods and ends, the steering uj's and the drop arm tightened the steering box. Could it be steering box oil or something to do with the swivel pins ???? Would any one have any idea ?
If a hammer won't fix it, get a bigger hammer !!

Swivel bearing gone causes some impressive wobbling and possibly oil/grease leaking out the back of the swivel, check by jacking up the wheel and seeing if you get movement when you rock it top/bottom.  If the wheel bearing is away then you'll see movement if you try to rock the sides.

Parts are cheap enough, get the Haynes Manual ready !
If its not broken you are not trying hard enough....

Are your wheels buckled?

i had a set on the 110 which had seen some heavy off roading, and the front 2 had quite severe wobbles.

Jack up the front wheel and rotate it by hand (or low first) and watch the wheel.

Cheers

There is a thread further down titled "Help whole Land Rover Shakes" by Sardass, you will get most of the info there.
She said at my age I need something else to play with

The wheels are fine, when jacked up there is only minimal movement when shook top+bottom.Looks like a strip down may ensue as there are no leaks. Duncan

Something to check thats caught out the most experienced of us, if you have been out playing in the mud and the next day or so your lr develops a sudden wobble vibration,  mind and check the insides of your wheel rims for dried mud,,,,, then move onto your usual suspects
