Hi.  I'm looking to replace the gearlever gaiter on my D2 & was wondering if anyone had done this?  Looks pretty straightforward but take it I need to detach the top of the g/stick to slot it through?  Noticed there's a pinchbolt affair below the gaiter.  Any help gratefully received.  Also, recommendation as to where to get one from?  Thanks, Alan.

hi i did mine no problem at all, i bought a pair of leather gaiters from ebay for about 20 quid, you will need spray glue as well,
pull the square suround off the consol then unscrew the gearknob, the gaiter goes on inside out with a rubber band to hold it to the knob, then turn it the right way out pull over the square frame , glue both the gaiter and square bit allow to dry , then squeeze together . take care in the glueing bit thats where the neatness comes in to achieve the finish.
