Hi all,

Right I am sure this has been asked before but where do I get the correct bolts for a newer defender rear cross member. There are 4 threaded holes I need the correct High Tensile Steel bolts to screw in to these threads. Not the type that you bolt up from the back with a nut.  :o Do Dixon-Bait do them?

Hi

Are you putting a drop plate on there or a NATO hitch.

Hi

I think you need M12 with 8.8 tensile strength.

A Nato Hitch.

I want it to look cool!
I have removed the landrover tow bar and if I even need to tow with a normal caravan hitch its only a few bolts to swap it all back again.

So who stocks the correct bolts? The threaded part cant be longer than 85mm

I measured the id of threads in the cross member 9.61mm

What did you use to measure it, and why did you.
It's the OD that you need, 12mm
The id should be 9.853mm though ;D

Go and try a M12 bolt

A micrometer but that would be to the top of the thread.
