Hi,
I have a Defender 90 TD5 2001 vehicle and have replaced the batteries in both key fobs.
I was having terrible trouble with the alarm and the fobs were not working at all well, factor in a serious earth problem, now sorted, that meant the car would not start and the electrics went haywire every time I attempted to start the thing.
So, earth issuse resolved and still it would not start - hence the next step in replacing the fob batteries.
This car does not have central locking!!!
One is working perfectly and I am very happy to have my car back!
The other is not.
The one that is not functioning correctly appears to activate the hazzard warning lights an immobilise the car - it will not start, just wink at me!!
Does it need re-programing and if so how is it done?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks,
Andy Thomlinson.
