Assistance with brake pipes needed.
« on: August 01, 2011, 05:49:04 PM »
Hi Folks,

I need to put complete new brake pipes on my Classic Range Rover.
I'm doing a lot of the rebuid work myself, but, does anybody here have the experience and the right kit at home to bend and fit brake pipes, and who'd be prepared to come to mine for a day to help me do this.
I'll supply the new pipe & fittings and tea / coffee / sarnies / pies and maybe a beer or some if you're local and cover your fuel costs for getting here if you've come a distance.
I'm near Carnoustie, just along from Dundee.
The car isn't mobile at the mo so I can't take it to your place.

I'm not in a huge rush but some point in the next month would be great.

Cheers,

Mike. 07970 729580

Hi mate. I have a flaring tool. Can come along and show you how to do it. I don't have a bending took but it's easy to bend it by hand. Unless you want it really neat.

Cheers Jon,

Might take you up on that. I've seen that you can buy kits with the ends already on, but they seem really pricey for what you get, compared to just getting the bits.

If I do find a kit at a reasonable price I may just do that.

I'll give you a call if I need your gadget!

For any flexi piping you need, you cant go far wrong with getting it from David.
Very helpful.

No problem. I'll even make them for you if you get the bits. It's really easy.
