My 110 has a Tabor 9K winch on the front (made by Warn)
I tried to pull a lump of concrete out of the ground the other day but the winch stalled with hardly any weight on it.
I have a 5 tonne load pin so i decided to test the winch. I put out about 40m of wire and secured it to the wifes disco 2.
I got to about 400kg and it looked like it had given up. I fed out more wire but it gave up well before 400kg.
Can these winches cope with static pulls like this. I'm not sure what this winch should pull but i suppose the 9K is 9000Kg.
Is this with all the wire fed out.
Or possibly the winch is knackered and I need a new one
