looking for an idea of a easy twin choke carb conversion or one for sale any ideas? Cheers

One of the downdraught webers off a ford Pinto engine? Not sure how easy a fit it would be but should go well enough if set up properly.

thought about it , just have to bast@#rdise the manifold abit, can get a carb off a 2300 cortina/granada, i know these carbs very well.

The 2.5 engine in my SIII has a ford twin choke carb fitted.  It is on the original manifold with the studs bent outwards and the holes in the carb filed out a bit.  The throttle is operated via a cable conversion using a rear push bike brake cable.  It's fitted with a pancake filter to get it under the bonnet.

I am glad to hear that is still giving good service that is the second ford carb fitted to that engine off a 2 ltr if memory serves me well the first was off a 3ltr granada it went like stink with that one but kept breaking half shafts and fuel economy would make a v8 look frugal.

the 2.0 (uk spec) and 2.3 pinto (euro spec) had a progresive twin choke webber, the 2.3 / 3.0 v6 (uk spec) also had a webber downdraught carb but the butterflies opened together. the choke sizes and the jets were different.
