As it was a nice sunny day today, and i'd already taken the dog for it's walk, tidy'd the garden up & there was still an hour to the football on the telly, i thought i'd have a bash at fitting the rear light guards i recently purchased. Here is how i did it.............
First, i put some masking tape down the side of the light
Then temp fitted the guard & rubber mounts, then outlined the rubber mount with a pen.
Then, holding the rubber mount, marken the fixing holes with a small allen key.
Next, drill 2 x 5mm holes.
After drilling the holes, i sprayed a bit of paint to the bare metal, then before fitting the rubber mounts,
I put a bit of copper slip on the rear, like so..
Then this is where it gets a bit fiddely, trying to get the washer & nut on the back, as you can see,
it's a bit tight, especially when you've got fat, short fingers like me !!
With all the rubber mounts fitted.....
It was time to fit the guard, job done !!
