Just how annoyed is my gearbox going to be that it now contains about a litre of EP80w90 on top of some elderly ATF.
Its stopped squealing anyway !!

( ...or do I have to roll about in the snow and ice again to drain it and bung the right stuff in ?)

I understand that LR no longer recommend ATF - what should I be using ?

You can use ATF, it works fine. LR changed their recomendation to MTF94.

i put some synthetic stuff from difflock in mine and it transformed it especially in the cold
