Ok had a little fender bender today. Passanger side door. wing and already needing repair bulkhead

Do i need any major tools for replacement and is the wireing something i can tackle or should i put it into a garage to get sorted??

Oh no. Thats really bad luck. Will your Insurance cover it ? Double that damage and my Insurers ( NFU) wrote the vehicle off as beyond economic repair....having fixed it I now tend to agree !

If you go for new then, based on my rebuild, doors are well over ?300, wing about ?120 just for the panel. The problem is that decent old doors are hens teeth to find. How bad is the bulkhead ? I was lucky, the bulkhead could be pulled out and filled, it had just been creased by the mirror arm folding in on it.
If replacing the old door with the more modern "rounded corners" type you will need a new inner panel to hang the window regulator off. Everything else swaps over, even the door-trim, apart from a triangle about 2 in long that needs shaved off to fit. 

Its all bolt on-off but replacing the bulkhead will be a big job, so much stuff attached or running through it :-(

I have a scruffy passenger door you can have if its any use.

If the frames good i will buy a door skin for it lucky white heather

hopefully the out rigger i fitted not 4 weeks ago is still in the same place!!!

Sory to hear that mate , a decent sized socket set / spaners , screwdrivers is all you will need . you will need to have a couple of free days to do it and an extra body to help lift it off and back on i done it not that long ago in the driveway with not much room and it was a pain to get on . the clutch will need to be bled aswell also the wireing is not to bad just remember to lable everything and take photos it all helps putting it all back together .

If you have to remove the bulkhead thats fairly straight forward. Clutch pipe,steering UJ rod. Heater in and outs to engine.Fuel lines to the filter. Then variouse wires to the engine you should be able to seperate the rear section of the loom just at the bulkhead so it can stay in place. Brake lines.
Main mounts should be the 4 bolts on yer footwells facing you and 2 large nuts either side of bulkhead holding it onto chassis. Few little strap bars may go to your wing inners. Really need 2 folk for a unstripped bulkhead they weigh alot. Few bits of softwood to lay it on when your working away and hopefully a bit better weather. Good luck been swearing at myne for weeks.
No special tools used so far.

my neighbour walks past as i am trying to remove the bulkhead.

He remarks you should realy spend some money and buy a decent one of these things!!!!

i thanked him for his kind coment while trying to remove clutch flexi pipe.

Didnt loose my cool at all honest but now i need a new pipe lol

Thought this might bring a smile to a few faces 

Look at the positives Bill, at least you know what orifice to stick the old pipe up, sure your neighbour will be surprised
