wheel spacers yes or no?
« on: March 28, 2016, 09:30:09 PM »
so my old defender had modular wheels with an offset and steering lock was great, my td5 110 has boost alloys and the turning circle is garbage i have to shunt. to get in my drive, steering locks are ok and i dont particularly want to go back to the modulars, been looking at hub centric wheel spacers anyone use them and what are they like? tempted with a set of aftermarket sawtooth wheels though

Would they also work on a TD5 Disco because my turning circle is larger than an oil tankers

Have them fitted on mine, although were needed due to tyre clearance issues

so after much reading and trawling of the web i have ordered a set of spacers from terrafirma £140 you can buy them cheaper seen them as low as £80 but the weight difference is huge, the cheaper ones are steel or heavier alloy and some sets weight 5kg a corner, the terrafirma ones are 2 kg a corner and use genuine landrover nuts and studs and have hubcentric lugs for wheel locating, so we will see when they turn up
