Heater blower
« on: November 30, 2014, 04:17:55 PM »
When I switch on the heater blower I can hear the fan working but there is no extra air coming out either the vent to windscreen or the one to cab, when the fan is off there is hot air coming through the vents ?? Any ideas where I should look for the problem .

Anyone viewing this could you please look at my other post re looking to find previous keeper

Many thanks

the faps are part of the heater matrix box, look for the levers that the cables operate. I would start there

No dash does not get warm and air is coming through the vents with blower off but gets no better when blower on

I stripped and rebuild the dash sealing everything as I went. Amazing how much difference this made to the amount of air supplied from the blower. Leakage was terrible before.

Hi when you have it switched on I know this sounds stupid but have you checked the air inlet that the motor isn't blowing in reverse? So instead of sucking and blowing it into the motor it is blowing it out? May be wired up wrong if as you say you can hear it work ?
