Bush wire limb cables

Well folks I'm looking for some measurements.

What is the length of wire required for bush wires on the defender from the roof above the window to the wing front corner?

If someone could measure their Landy that would be great.

I would measure my own but I'm on the ship and it's not here  :D.

The nice person who gives me details will be in for a treat as I will make them a pair as well if they want. (Only the wire will be gifted as its Christmas not the complete set up)  :D

The wire I will be using is 6mm coated with clear plastic stainless steel wire. I will be crimping the wire eye so it looks good.

Not a mod I'd want to do, I'm not sure how Plod would look on that if you tried it on-road - you'd be in a world of pain if a cyclist was injured in an accident - and off-road, unless you are regularly in the jungle with lots and lots of soft vegetation I don't see any value. On overgown forestry tracks - rare enough - I just plain drive. I don't see the need for it.

If its not broken you are not trying hard enough....

My plan is to fit them with the a slip pin lock. This way they can be safely stored away while on the public roads.
The last time I was off-road in thick wood land/bush I ended up having to buy a new windscreen. (still not fitted but will be for its MOT next month  :-[)
I’m not going to take any chances again so I will be fitting them for off-road use only.

Anyhow, I just thought I would ask the folks if they have the sizes. :)

Still don't think its a good idea but.... 1.57m from the point where the roof starts to really run back to the point where the wing starts to go vertical. Suggest you build in a tensioner too.

I did once crack a windscreen off road but I was trying to push a very large tree out of the way. Should have been sensible and towed it properly or got the saw out.

Good luck with it.

Thank you Gene. ;)

Now I need to search the ship for the parts. I know I put them in a safe place  ::)

Let the zero production to the company start and the life long production to improve the beast being  :D

Cheers
