What's the recommended way of noise cancellation from engine bay?

Seriously Thomas  Make sure all the holes in the bulkhead have grommets fitted and in good condition = it's amazing the difference that makes

With yours having the v6 conversion make sure nothing's fouling the bulkhead or chassis and transmitting noise

Buy one of the Exmoor floor/transmission mat kits - good but expensive

It'll be the V6 up front Tommy !

Some foam sound insulation stuck onto the bonnet might help as well Thomas.

Depends what type of noise it is, a lot of noise is actually vibration of various components. How are the engine mounts? Does it have the LR or ford ones fitted?

As all above have suggested.

Proper sound deadening panels depend on mass and incorporate lead loaded polymer sheets. Use heavy mats in the footwells and, if you feel like spending some money, boat grade panels under the bonnet. You can buy the thick marine panels by the sheet - be warned, they're pricey - and, less expensive, you can buy the loaded sheet skin material on its own.

Duncan chandlers in Scotland St do 600 x 1000 panels for £33.
