Heater blower doesnt work
« on: January 24, 2014, 07:20:23 PM »
Hi all,

I have a 90 200Tdi that I am getting ready for its MOT. The heater blower has never worked, was seized solid but I have a known working unit to hand that also doesn't work when connected up. All wiring/fuses are good. Ideas where to start looking? Electrics aren't my strong point in any way

Cheers,
Iain

There are resistor banks inside a cover on matrix, wires have been known to come off of these causing fan failure

Cheers Dave,

Are these easy enough to get too? If I can find my voltmeter I will try and trace power loss along the route, need to get the battery charged and hope it fires her up first

I think u probably need to take matrix out, it's not too difficult, but check you are getting power to it first, there is a plug very close to the motor that should pull apart
