hi all. i have decided that a defender 90 regretfully isnt the best car for me or my family so im putting it up for sale.
although this is your chance to own a sought after landrover. released from the mod in 1999 as stated on the v5. it has now got 122,000 kilometers on the clock, i think just over 80 tho in miles.. it had a 2.5 n,a refurbished unit when it was released but that died just before i took it as a part ex on my disco td5. it now has a low milage genuine defender 200tdi fitted, no disco engine here!
very hard to find these engines now.. i have fitted a brand new downpipe along with a brand new stainless mid box replacement pipe to an again new tailpipe so no worries there for a few years. i fitted a few other new parts including a genuine timing belt. new gaskets to the water pump, timing case ect, new thermostat gasket, i have loads of new gaskets for the bottom end i will include in the sale. i fitted a disco high output altenator and fitted the 200tdi starter motor. still have the originals, 300tdi radiator and intercooler, oil cooler takes car of the cooling, i had one newish oil cooler hose but bought a replacement second hose as i didnt like the look of it. i intended to keep this for a few years so wanted it done right. its had four keepers before me. has two seats in the front, both very good with a very good cubby box. has two benches in the rear, not fitted. but very good. it has a very good canvas soft top fitted with no rips or tears. i have soent a weekend cleaning it too. it comes with a swing away rear wheel carrier. very good con, rear bumperettes both great cond, four great kuhmo venture mud tyres with a spare but slighty different tread. same brand. exellent tread. tailgate is in very good condittion too. both front doors are series ones and are showing a little rust at the bottoms but its only surface and will rub off easilly, very solid, the tops are exellent. i fitted the swing away, bumperettes with stainless fitting. also im doing a little welding on the passenger footwell on friday and the floorplate will be refitted with stainless screws ect. i have a stainless kit for the door hinges somewhere. had a servise when i installed the engine. i have a snorkel ill sell along with the 90. ali treadplate fitted to the bonnet, wing tops and rear corners. any questions just ask. im looking for around £3,300 for the truck as i know its worth it. exellent running landrover, starts of the first turn of the key, pulls very well with loads of torque. a pile of receipts here for coil springs, oil cooler hose, fuel tank to name a few.its has jate rings fitted, tow bar.and two sets of keys. if it needed it i have bought it in the time i have owned it.. located in dundee. test drives welcome. im on 07872614867.
