Hi does any one know the difference between a early 90/110 / series 3 rear door and the Tdi/ td5 defender door used up to 2001. noticed they are cheaper on ebay and paddocks any reason why ?

No strentheners to support spare wheel and no hole for lock not a prob put spare somewhere else and cut hole for lock easy

I got my defender rear door from sp landrovers was not a bad price altho was advertised with heated screen and came with plain glass and was told it was a mistake on web site and never sorted it out 

I picked up a series 3 door in mint condition. Fitted it without a hitch. The only problem was the rear check to stop it swinging to far open. It didn't match the rear tub mount. I did hhave to drill a hole for the lock barrell of the anti-burst lock. About a month later I was offered a defender door with heated glass at a price I couldn't refuse so I fitted it instead and saved me having to modify the rear tub mount.
