That's deepest darkest South Ayrshire about 15 miles from my home, the area is called the Nick o the Balloch,it's the hill road from Barr to Straiton . There are loads of forestry roads off this road but they all have locked gates on them !!
It was a very successful day , my wife's first real run in the Landrover, we had a nice drive and a lovely walk so were both happy, my good lady even drove the Landy for the first time !!!!!! She found it quite a challenge compared to driving her Merc , the play in the steering caused me a few white knuckle moments but at least she was keen to show some interest.
Think I am getting closer to her accompanying me to a SLROC event in the near future .
