essential kit for wading
« on: October 15, 2012, 02:17:51 PM »
Right, I have bought the snorkel and wading kit, but what other bits of gear do I need to protect the old girl when crossing deepish water.  Have read bits about extended breathers how do they differ from a wading kit and do I need extended breathing kit? :o  Any advice greatly appreciated.

Now now Gene

Bill managed to complete two consecutive events (if you split Mudmaster in two) and came in a respectable position - mind you he wasn't driving in flippers and goggles this time

Might be that he curbed his ambition to become a submariner at last

Seriously - well done Bill you should have got a prize for not destroying your motor

What engine, petrols require more protection on electrical side of ignition and modern diesels need to protect Ecu and electric sensors like throttle position sensor on TD5, old diesels tough as old boots.

well guys thanks for your comments!!  >:(

a life raft is always handy but seriously if regularly wadding keep an eye on your diff and swivel housing oil also check transfer box regularly every second week as water will tell you the seals are worn.

also the cheekier your friends get obviously the deeper the water got lol

and finally when you cant see out windscreen any more  bail out lol

cheers Bill

That's because his navigator kept on screaming "Nooooooo" at him  ;)
