From bitter experience - save your money.

There has been some success for some people from Warranty Direct, get a quote then wait for them to call you with a better offer. Whatever you do, DO NOT waste your money if it doesn't have wear and tear cover.

See Freel2.com or disco3.co.uk forums for lots of reading

I have a Warranty Direct policy, three claims all rejected despite wear and tear and virtually everything covered, there is always a get out clause.
Put your money in a savings account and dip into it if it all goes wrong. Freelander 2 is as reliable as a car gets.

i agree, not worth it. Put £50 away each month and wait to spend it.

I agree ref Freelander 2, mine has been a very good servant, so much so that I am buying a new one next week. The present one has been good on fuel & excellent in deep snow with the standard tyres. Helps that my right foot is connected to my wallet!

Thanks everyone re warranty  :D I have had warranty direct people phoning constantly and getting a little pushy for the order . Think I will take the gamble and keep putting away the 80.00 pounds a month they are asking for a rainy day !
