Sorry for the late announcement of the details for round five of the Scottish Cross Country Championship. Lots going on behind the scenes with land issues and unfortunately it looks like this round will be the last of the season as we are unable to use Glendearg this year. Due to the ground being waterlogged, we would cause excessive ground damage on this working hill farm! We are still trying other avenues, but as you will appreciate, with the weather and what not, finding another site that would be suitable this late in the year is proving a bit difficult. So this might be the last change to get out racing this year so please all get along to this one and finish the season with a big entry at this fantastic site!Round 5 of the Championship is going ahead and is at DRUMCLOG on 15th & 16th September and it could be the title decider!
It's all very close at the top of the table now following Colins dramatic exit from the action at Bathgate, and this years title could go to any of the top four places, so should make for some interesting racing over the weekend!!
Drumclog, a favourite with many of you, offers fast, open racing over rolling grassland and fast tracks, with some challenging drops, climbs and even a river crossing or two!
With 15 laps scheduled over the weekend you can look forward to around 60 miles of racing!
The open nature of the site will give everyone a great view of the action and as the spacious service area is close by, the rest of your team can see the racing too! One of the best sites for Marshaling at too as the open views of the course mean plenty of action for all our Marshals to see. If you can assist with marshaling on any of the three sessions, please give Alan a call, all help will be greatly appreciated!
Our Championship caterers will be on site all weekend to keep everyone well fed and watered with a delicious variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Please reply to this post or give Alan a call to let us know you are entering!
As with all our two day events this season we are also offering a Sunday only entry for £45.00, your result won't count towards the Championship, but depending on the numbers at the end of the year there might be a prize for the "Sunday League"!
