I am going to be changing the front pads and discs this weekend, should I change the front bearings, when I have got the hubs off. The bearings are ok just now, there is no play or noise.

Also does anyone know who stocks the bearings in Glasgow?

Cheers

You would be giving yourself a job that is not really needed, but I would check/replace the inner hub seal,if the motor has been running in mud the seal lips can be worn away so that the bearing fails after its next dip in deep mud!

Hi.  Not sure if you should do the job or not but if I were you I might be tempted to when you're in & amongst the brakes.  In Glasgow I'd get the bearing item number & try BSL (Bearing Services Ltd) on 0141-445 2256.

Good luck, Alan.

I'd leave the bearings alone, unless they feel rough...

Buy the bearings there not expensive. At least you got them if you find a problem and would be there for the future. Remeber te seals. ;)

I've got mine from Dingbro. Various depots in Strathclyde and Lanarkshire.

Make sure you have 12 point sockets (from my own painful experience) :(
