Disco 2 Steering Box leak
«

Hi
Anyone had a fluid leak from the reservoir end of a Disco 2 steering box. I thought it was a loose pipe but when trying to tighten it noticed the end plate moved slightly and that's where the fluid was coming from. It's definitely not leaking at the drop arm. Anyone experienced this before and have a fix for it.
If anyone can't suggest a fix, has anyone got a second hand steering box they want to sell
Thanks
Duncan

Hi The pipes are clamped in by one plate and a centre bolt. There are also two `O` rings on the pipes, maybe the `O` are spit or perished. When removed be carefull not to let any dirt into the oil holes, could cost you a new steering box or pump.

Hi Duncan
I have a second hand steering box that is leeking from the drop arm. I got it of Robin (The Classic Man). Your welcome to come and have a look at it and see if it is any use to you. It might let you see how it goes together easier as it's off the car.
Cheers
Graeme
