Disco 1 roof rail removal

Hey guys anyone ever taken the roof rails off a disco? One of mine is broke and i have a roof rack that wont fit with them on any way.

Getting them off is not the problem, its plugging the holes they leave.

I found this... http://www.discoweb.org/roofrails/index.htm   where a guy has done a really neat job but the plugs he got come from the states!

Anybody know of a UK supplier or a kit desighned for this?

read his blog they are only 1 3/8"  grommets any engineering supplier should give you them

or ebay blanking grommets
