I bought one years ago as a kit, came with all the bits. Looks like you just need the metalwork in the middle - the rubber buffers are in better nick than mine !   Usual suspects would be Craddocks, PA Blanchard etc.  There are new full kits on fleabay for ?55 and a "take off" partial kit for ?25.

Many thanks, I'd obviously been searching for the wrong thing on the auction site. I might have a go for the take off kit, obviously I'm fine for the mounting nuts and bolts. Are the wheel securing bolts a standard thread? And can I therefore deduce that hole in the centre uprighht is for a  padlock type device?

Hi,

There should also be a clamp bar thing, which goes on after the wheel is in place, and has 3 holes in it, 2 for the bolts  and 1 for the padlock.

The ring beastie shown on the ebay ads. I think the straight bar idea may be from Series vehicles ?  Some old-timer will tell us !

Hi
Be carefull of the bonnet that you use, I believe that the newer bonnets are not strong enough to take the loads imposed by this mod.
The bonnet on my TD5 is certainly not strong enough for the purpose.
