reverse lights on disco

reverse lights on disco

Hello, another newbie with a wee question. Just got a disco 300tdi, been told the reverse lights not working. Have checked  fuses and bubs(not easy with  the extra seats in the back) Does anyone have any ideas what else it could be? thanks . andyw13

The switch on the side of the gearbox, mine's melted all the cables so now have no reversing lights, I have got a new switch just a night mare to get to, the switch is on the passenger side of the gearbox

Have you checked the reverse light switch located on the gearbox ,

 you can check by removing it and checking with a multi meter. I have never done this but had same fault on my golf but i found a link on google to someone who has done it if it helps
