Air Compressors Which is Best?

Hi,

Does anyone know what is the best air compressor is to buy.  looking for something heavy duty and fast.

i got one from machine mart, they have a wide range in stock.
I suppose it depends what you want to do with it.

i have a truck compressor. Its fairly quick.
If you want the best, google Matt Savage.

I had heard Matt Savage went bump in the night a little while ago but the website seems to be going strong  ???  Perhaps they are under new management?  The Viair stuff is pretty good.  Most independants can source.  Get a twin cylinder one if you can stretch to it.  For real H/D the on-board tank stuff that Savage used to sell is good (if a little expensive).  You can import from the States cheaper though  :-\  This is the only way to go if you want to run high CFM tools.

Some people convert air con compressors with an on-board tank (bodged gas cylinder) arrangement but it's all a little Heath Robinson for my liking. . .
