Thinking of fitting 245 75 16 to my disco any one know if this size will fit without mods? or should I need to fit a 2'' lift ? Currently running standard 18"

From what I've read on the Discovery Owners Club forum, that's biggest size that'll fit without modification. I guess you might need to adjust the steering stops depending on the diameter of your 18" tyres.

Thats the size I have on my D2 and have no issues. Was running with Goodyear Mtr's and now got Kumho KL71's Mud Terrains.

How do you rate the kl71 against the mtr's? Not wanting to splend shed load as need to buy rims as well

I went with MTR's originally as I got a really good deal on them, but when I was looking to chage them this year I couldn't get them readilly and even those that did have them the prices were silly. the KL71's have been ok so far, fine in mud and yesterday at the comp they were fine over some really rough tracks. They were less than a ?100 each when I bought them early in the year so cost wise it was a no brainer.

Considering the amout of offroad and on road miles my tyres get if they last 2 years I would be happy, only time will tell.

You need to check with one of the tyro organisers as to what tyres you are allowed to use, some clubs wont let you run with Mud terrain tyres, not sure what SLROC policy is.

I use Kumho MT pattern tyres ( Copy of the old BFG Mud Terrain) on Tyros, not an issue.
