I have just rewired the towing socket on my 110.
I've connected into the main loom for each light.
My question is, the trailer light on the dash that flashes when you indicate, how does it know??

Looked up a diagram for the wiring, it seems to get a signal from the flasher unit. Must be able to detect the extra load

It's voltage sensitive so does detect the extra load.
