Engine Immobiliser problem
« on: March 30, 2011, 07:43:18 PM »
A couple of days after getting the car ( P38 Diesel ) back from swapping the injector pump it now will not start. It turns over OK but will not fire up.

There was a message flashed on the dash about alarms and the door  - but nothing shows now. Suspecting an immobiliser fault I have obtained the EKA code from LR Main Dealers and input that via the door lock - no joy, not made any difference.

T'internet suggests that the BECM needs reset ? as another option.

What does that involve - visit by someone with Testbook on a laptop ?

Any ideas ?

G.

Just cross your fingers it's not needing a new door lock! See the linky in my profile if you need it looked at.
