Changed A frame ball joint and poly bushes on defender what a difference

Hi all I changed the ball joint and poly bushes on my 1996 300tdi defender A frame I can't believe the difference it's made absolutely amazing was not as bad a job as I had thought brido :)

Great news. All the rest of the bushings are just as easy for the future and all can be done at home with a drill, hacksaw and hammer.
1988 Defender 110 300tdi. Bit of an animal.
1998 Defender 90 300tdi. The new pup.

Knew you could do it, dont you get a real sense of achievement when you do it as opposed to paying the garage. I will bring mine over for a few jobs ;) ;)

Years ago I bought an old 90 off a local Estate. The boys said the vehicle was a death-trap, steering shot and a total pig to drive. Changed all the bushes and that joint on the steering column - transformed it - for an afternoons work and a few quids worth of parts.

...my first attempt at a respray was not so good....  :-(  maybe a farm-yard is not the best place for that job ?

If its not broken you are not trying hard enough....
