Not sure if yours is a van type or not Thomas, if it is line it with Ply then attach soundproofing to the ply, I did this in the wee 90 I had and it made a lot of improvement to the dampness and the road noise.
If its not a van then suggest attaching camping mats, the ones with the foil backing, to the bare metal, The foil reflects the cold and also acts as a barrier to the moisture, can be attached by spray adhesive or double sided carpet tape.
Sould be able to do the lot for less than ?20 for the non ply method.
