There is another event at Forrest Lodge (where we had the GRR on 10th) next weekend 16th and 17th October 2010.

This was a great day out, there was a small part similar to the GRR but generally it was forest roads joining up "special stages". It was just a shame that there were so few there (7 of us on Saturday) or did that make it better?

Learnt a few things from this, make sure you carry a good toolkit and a spare Defender in the back 

This was my track rod, ironically just from letting a van go past on the track rather than playing



It was so lucky someone had a spare trackrod in the back of their car, I think I will carry a spare of these in future. 

I couldn't make it for this but would certainly like to visit again. Hopefully there will be another GRR at somepoint.

Get yourself a steering protector plate saves the effort of having to change them
