vibration after suspension upgrade
« on: February 29, 2016, 07:29:27 PM »
Hi
Put 2" lift kit on the 90. It has 235/85/16 General grabber2 tyres on modular steel wheels brand new.
Thing is got vibration unless I drive through it too 55mph. Is this caused by the propshafts as their standard?.
Its a otherwise factory 300tdi 90.
Cheers. Scott

You should be able to eliminate props quite easily, firstly check for play then remove each one in turn and drive in diff lock, see what happens

No its an entire vehicle vibration, steering fine no wobbles. Only asking about props as they at a steep angle now with the lift. Its worst 40-50 mph fine after.  Reminds me off extreme angle pto vibration on tractors.

sounds like a prop, have a look at the yokes for signs of play or touching
