Hi folks, I finally got my Defender 90, a 2004 TD5. Absolutely loving it   ;D

Not much needing done as it seems quite clean, so straight onto stereo upgrade - from numerous bits of kit kept from previous cars.

So my proposal is this... build a new slightly wider and taller cubby box, with a concealed section below for a small mono sub amp, with the whole cubby box extending back to meet/bolt to the rear bulkhead. A 10" subwoofer to be mounted on a 1" MDF spacer on the bulkhead (facing rear door) with the magnet side of the speaker extending back through a 8" hole to be cut in the bulkhead, into a sealed baffle section of the new bigger cubby box.

Can anyone see any issues with this idea, either sonically, or structurally (if I am proposing to cut a 8" hole in the middle of the rear bulkhead).

Looking forward to some (positive) feedback  :)

Cheers!
