do you have another issue my 300tdi can sit for weeks with no issues starting,  what engine is in yours, do you have something left powered up?

Iv got a 200TDI in it and nope I don't think I have anything left powered up when I take the keys out. But I'm no expert what if anything could cause the power drain? Or is it time for a new battery?

if the battery is dead after a couple of weeks you either have a drain or the battery is shot,  if the motor cranks over but doesnt start you have a fuel issue with air getting in

Hi Clem,
She shouldn't go flat in a week, obviously, so I'd check the electrics out.
2 things that'll help, especially over the winter:-
A battery isolator such as Ref 02100 from www.vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk and an intelligent conditioning battery charger by Cetek.
Cheers, Nigel

Take your Negative lead off the battery. In a weeks time or so when you go to start it, if it struggles then its your battery. If it starts ok, then you have an electrical leak.
Isolator is a way to get around the problem, the leak would remain.

Had same issue, battery was shot. I now also have one of those solar panel chargers. It helps a lot if the vehicle is not used that often.
