200tdi leak on back of fuel pump

Recently had slightly slow starting on 200di engine and there now seems a small seep of diesel from the rubber vent thing on the back of the pump. I'm guessing there's a o ring in there, can I replace the vent component without disturbing the rest of the pump? Thanks

looks like you can change it but you need to find out why its venting, is there a pump problem and its over pressured or does that vent fuel after the diaphragm. i would go ask a diesel pump place for some advice

Change the diaphragm in the boost valve you can get a repair kit from a diesel repair specialist quite a common thing to go wrong
