Rent a Defender
« on: March 29, 2014, 07:33:32 AM »
Hello Landi-Fans,

My name is Alex and I m from Frankfurt in Germany. From June 06 to June 09 we (3 Guys) want to celebrate the pre-wedding weekend of my older brother Chris in Scotland. We are planning to do a 400 km trip from Aberdeen to Loch Ness and back.

Therefor we are looking for an old and stylish 4x4 Land Rover Defender (90, td5, 110 or 130) to rent/ hire, cause by cruising around a Defender in Scotland my brother’s lifetime dream would come true :)

Could anyone give me a hint where I could get such an car for this weekend??

Regards and Thank you in advance

Alex

Hi Alex, it all depends on where you can pick the car up from, if your flying into the central belt then there are a few places to choose from, but if your hiring from Aberdeen then your choice is limited, and most companies tend to go towards the Jap market as they crazy cats seem to prize comfort and reliability.
You'll also struggle to hire an old defender as the vast majority will have new or nearly new vehicles.

I've never used them but this lot seem to be into their Landy's, but it's a costly old game.

Hi Alex

Try this company, however they're based in Peebles, Scottish Borders (nr Edindurgh) but have nearly new Defender 110's kitted out with roof tents and most of the kit required for this type of trip.

Regards

Peter
