I use ATF for the LT77 and EP90 for the transfer 'box as that was what the LR manual states.

i have a manual for this very gearbox a land rover one not the heinz variety a good bit less than a nackered gearbox

from the book it is dexron 11d(that is 2 d ) with 90/85 gear oil for the transfer box
you will always get conflicting advice

Thanks for all the replies put in atf dexron 2 and it's very quiet and smooth
