First RTV of this year at good site, plenty change of  ground surfaces to catch out those who took the eye off the canes during the inclement weather... Big thanks to Landowners, organisers, marshals on the day, and those who took my waterproof (haha) camera when I was driving. TECHNICAL CHAT / Discovery 5 roof bars

Hi. 

Thinking of popping roof bars on my 5 year old Disco (latest shape).  From looking at it, seems more involved than most motors (and therefore potentially more pricey).  Looks like, ahead of even getting bars I need to; remove external  roof trims and purchase new ones with holes in the relevant places; purchase roof rails to fit.   

Am I missing something and ideally, has someone done this before that has any tips?

I'm looking for a complete rear axle for a series 2A or 3 which is in a usable condition.    If you have one lying under a bench or at the of the garage you want to move on please let me know.    Mine is way to porous to save and the diff back lash is huge.    Can travel to collect no problem.    fingers crossed your in central Scotland.
