Title: how can i tweak up my 300tdi ???

i was told howi could turn up the fuel pump and the turbo but aint sure how much i can do this

Depends on how much "cowboy" you want to do ;) You can turn the pump up a bit, which may give a little bit more poke depending on what the state of tune is like just now. Some would say soong as there is not clouds of black smoke then it's fine, but that is NOT how to tune a diesel properly!!

TBH you will only get marginal improvements without sticking in a bigger intercooler. Check that the one you have is clear of oil and gunk, flush it if necessary. Condition of the turbo hoses is also very important, they are prone to collapsing internally when under pressure due to age.

terry id be carefull how much you do to this motor. with your age you likely to need a remortgage for insurance as it is. if you start doing changes then id start working on that lottery win, you could need it.
would you not be better leaving it standard as it is for a few years at least let you build up some no claims. its not that bad in the slow lane you know. the 90 trundled back at 50mph wow what a saving on fuel :o :o. could do faster but why rush

Id agree with Doug on this one. Assuming youre referring to your wee S3, without being a baa humbug,and just offering some friendly advice, youve 'tweaked' it already by putting in a non-standard engine, so your insurance is going to be high anyway. Might be worth youre while looking into, if you havent done so already, just how much its going to cost you to insure before you decide wether to make it into a boy racer machine with go-faster stripes and fluffy dice hanging from the mirror!! :D
