Title: Defender TD5 oil filter removal
Post by: Alan Mc on December 06, 2019, 09:44:58 PM
Hi.

Been servicing my 90 the last few years and no issues at all.  However, knocked off my motorbike last year and now have a damaged/weakened wrist.  As a result, can’t get the power to remove the cartridge filter.

Therefore, looking for a filter removal tool.  Conscious however that there’s loads out there and looking for one that works.  What have you got and what works best?

Thanks, Alan.

I find these are fairly decent i have used one at work for years on tractors and plant and it’s stood up to it well. Facom do a ratcheting version of this but it’s about £60 now although i find it really good.https://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/tools/hand-tools/halfords-advanced-professional-oil-filter-removal-band?cm_mmc=Google+PLA-_-Tools-_-Hand+Tools-_-926543&istCompanyId=b8708c57-7a02-4cf6-b2c0-dc36b54a327e&istFeedId=62b447cf-331e-4fec-a47a-9985ff72d404&istItemId=rtqla&istBid=tzti&_$ja=tsid:94971%7Ccid:1537737348%7Cagid:57846659199%7Ctid:aud-271742666404:pla-331014970935%7Ccrid:291898457426%7Cnw:g%7Crnd:8301106720710369272%7Cdvc:m%7Cadp:1o1%7Cmt:%7Cloc:9046990&gclid=CjwKCAiAuK3vBRBOEiwA1IMhuiJyLrfbq7d1pLRiDg_ZFVLJHMjW1rCLIcQe_SOzfp3lKXxcxHQXyxoCcQ4QAvD_BwE
