HELP URGENTLY REQUIRED - Marshals Wanted
Let the engine's roar! and the madness continue!
The next round of the Scottish Cross Country Championship is running on the 22nd & 23rd of August at the West Coast Raceway near Saltcoats. I am looking for assistance to help marshal this event trackside. This is a new location that I am looking forward to exploring and hope you are too.
This event will be running over 3 legs and Marshal cover is required from...
Mid morning on Saturday 22nd (briefing 10:30am and in location at 11:00)
Evening on Saturday 22nd (briefing* 6:30pm and in location at 7pm)
Morning & Early afternoon on Sunday the 23rd (briefing* 8:30am and in location at 9am)
*Briefing for any new marshals arriving
If you can help for all or just some of the legs, please let me know by commenting below, messaging me or emailing dean.pugh@virgin.net . I could really do with as much help as possible to make this new event a success for all involved
"Rustic" Camping is available from Friday night through to Sunday, but no water, so please bring your own. (I am told their are toilets available)
Experience and Registration with the MSA are useful but are not mandatory as guidance and training will be given on the day. The more Marshals we have to more we can rotate you through different duties and areas of the site and get you involved.

Free spaces still available
Thanks to all who have volunteered to help so far - we certainly have enough to cover the mandatory positions, but it’s always nice to have few extras around the site to keep a beady eye on the competitors.

We are trying to arrange on site catering, but this has not been confirmed yet - the towns of Kilwinning, Saltcoats and Ardrossan are all about 5 minutes away, so plenty of catering available locally.
