Looking for a bit of help chaps?
Sheared a half shaft at Drumclog today but its really close to the CV? Is there any tips to get this out or is it gonna cost me a CV as well?
What's your thoughts?

Hi Stephen,
Yep certainly was a fantastic day out, any day lacking rain is good for me, but the 'boggy'ness at Drumclog made going even better.
I wouldn't think twice about replacing the cv joint, Paddock's want a massive £24 for the basic joint, although i would splash out the extra couple of pounds for the full kit.
Thanks to everyone for a great day out.

Cheers guys,
I couldn't rest so went out to the garage and I managed to get what was left of the shaft into the vice and whacked the CV with a rubber mallet, it came free after a few and the CV is looking tip top although the washer isn't perfect but I have a spare.
New half shaft it is so not too bad, maybe Dave will go halfers? Lol ::)
