This is the vehicle that opened my eyes to Land Rovers.
Having a rear wheel drive in a street not serviced by gritters meant that I was effectively
immobile over the winter. By chance my neighbour was selling his Range Rover and I jumped at the chance.
That was 6 months ago and I haven't looked back. So much so, the rear wheel drive car is gone and has been replaced by a Freelander.
As such, sadly, the Range Rover has to go to make room.
The car is a 1993 Range Rover Vogue SE 3.9 Auto with LPG. My neighbour used it for nearly 3 years for towing his glider up and down the country
and has been well looked after. It has 135000 miles on the clock and runs very well indeed. Taxed & MOT until August.
I've done 2000 miles in it since December and loved every minute.
Good points :
A great runner. Has never failed to start and has run smoothly all winter.
Very tidy inside with full leather.
Air Suspension works well.
Electric windows, sunroof, heater, front windscreen, electric adjustable seats and ABS all work well.
Sony CD Radio sounds system with Aux socket.
Adjustable towbar with electrics.
All instruments work as they should.
Bad points :
Aircon, heated seats and Cruise Control inoperative.
Some corrosion on rear tailgate area and small areas of body work not inconsistent with a car of it's age.
Some elements in rear windscreen need repairing.
Door release mechanisms could do with a little lubing or adjustment for smoother operation.
Ignition key different to the key for the doors.
Trip meter inoperative but odometer definitely is.
I've been lurking on the forum since I got Range Rover and feel that I'd like to see it go to a good home. Someone with experience to
use it and look after it properly.
I'm open to sensible offers. If you want to come and see it or have any questions send me an email.
Stuart
