clunk at rear on a defender
« on: October 17, 2010, 08:35:15 PM »
looked at other thread but was for leaf.

I have spent almost a year bringing a 110 back to life ,never driven it until it went for mot.

It has a horrendous clunk from back end, checked props etc seem fine

didnt fail mot for it but, is it dangerous to drive? and how hard to do this ball joint ? do you need a press etc?

Cheers Bill

I would have thought this joint, if at fault should have been picked up by the MOT. Are you sure that this is the issue ?, i.e there is no backlash in the diff?

Cheers
Luke

Is the standard brit part one ok or the heavy duty adjustable?
