exhaust flexi joint? fixable?

Hi i have a flexi joint in my exhaust which the braided cover has ripped off but under neath the flexi exhaust looks to be in fine nick!



is it possible to put a new braided cover on it? or is it not needed?

the car is going for a IVA might i add

looks like a front pipe with soot filter?  bin it and fit a solid down pipe without the filter much better

Get a early down pipe without cat as well better gas flow and cheaper

I will be getting a non Flexi De cat one after it has been through its MOT and IVA! its just going on so they cant complain about it not being there!

i was advised on another forum just to chop the braided stuff off as its only a guard as such.

Just trim off the braiding with snips and it should be ok
