Yes I know this just as i live on the isle of mull. i would rather come over once and pick up a fully body than go over afew times collecting parts.

Its been a while been working and have had difficulty finding a new body! but i have eventually sourced one locally
Here she is.


The clutch was gone when i got her so i replaced it with a new Heavy duty one instead


I don't have access to a Engine crane so i improvised this lift using my new High-Lift jack! worked really well actually


Sadly im finding afew holes in the chassis It is a landrover after all!


on the 110 i got was a Salisbury Rear axle so I will try get that out tomorrow and see what condition it is in. if its any good i will be trying to get it on.

Looking for a Bulkhead in Glasgow to Oban area if anyone has one they are willing to part with?

I sort of forgot about this build diary as ive been doing another one on another forum any hoo here is what she looks like  just now!

Ive had the chassis sent way afew days ago for galvanizing! was told it would be a 10 day turn around!

while its away Ive been trying to get as much done to the body as i can without it being on the chassis!





IVe managed to fit the Discovery Dash in! its not the prettiest of jobs but it has saved me buying a defender dash! and ive got a Tacho meter  :smile



chequer plate riveted down with a bead of silicone to stop mud.. hopefully.



engine has had a check over,timing was slightly out but apart form that it looks good!
oh and obviously a coat of orange paint!  :wooyay



The EGR is staying on for now untill its been through all its emmision tests! and its got abit of heat wrap on the manifold.

Ive insulated the roof and sides with this foil bubble wrap stuff

yeah I forgot i had this page! Ive had it on afew forums to get as much help as possible!
She is all passed and just getting over afew wee teething problems but she is running great!
Well worth the blood sweat and tears.
